New Features

Follow Along With Me

I have come up with a couple of ideas for regular features to keep my blogs interesting and fresh. These will be interspersed with my regular posts and will occur when they are newsworthy.

The first I call "Eyeing the Draft" and will feature top talent available in this years draft. Though GM's always say that they want to take the best talent available during their pick, I will be looking at the draft from the perspective of "what the Jays need" both now and in the future. I will be looking at picks that could move quickly and be with the big team within a year or two, as well as talent which may take time to develop and not be available to the big club for a few years but will build depth at a particular position.

The second feature I call "Blackberry Burning" due to the fun poked at Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopolous' for his preference for texting other team executives about potential trades. In this feature I will be trying to think along with AA and speculate on trade possibilities. We all like to talk about what if's so this is MY chance to get into his head.

I look forward to your thoughts or ideas about these subjects as well.
